Have you considered rebuilding it? I had one which I flicked into a mates car while we rebuilt his one. It also failed within a few weeks, so is on the rebuild list now too. Same number.
Plenty of guys making big power on stock non vvti pistons too.
To do improved vvti then some guys are fitting non vvti early thick rods into the vvti engines. Pistons have different cutouts.
A better idea is to fit forged rods and pistons. Do it once, do it right.
Easy. The last number on Toyota part numbers is increased as parts superceded. So when Toyota update a part the last digit increases so the 010 and 011 interchange. Im getting low but if you get stuck could help you out but it you can get a 011 locally to you grab them, and a spare
Front loom is around $700nzd plus some freight. Swapping to pounds its about half the nzd rate atm. I do require correct specs on yours as there are differences
Chances are you have asked me the same question on my youtube. Of coarse its possible if you really want to with correct knowledge and skill but this is not an simple swap and possibly the lack of knowledge of basics like all UZ bell flange are the same is a concern and then the management is...
Due to the amount of oil in many industrial machines and trucks oil analysis is common place. Its can be a matter of saving money by prolonging service periods while still ensuring maximum engine life.
Bugger. Does it say why the later oil pump wont work on the early engine? As I have been fitting the later pumps without issues to many of my early engine rebuilds.
Toyota made these engines very swappable with parts. Intakes can be swapped, tappet covers, exhaust manifolds and even the cylinder heads are the same part both sides.
