Couldn't find my FSM so looked under my bonnet/hood. The line runs from a 6mm spigot that is located under the ISCV and runs into the front spigot on the T/b. From the rear spigot on the T/b it runs to the rear waterbridge. Mine is removed as I don't live in an environment that calls for it.

Give me 24hours and I'll dig out my FSM and try and scan it.

I know it sounds like a lot of work but you could buy the engine loom and ECU from an LS400 (out of the same car) and fit them to your engine. Personally that would be my course of action. This would only leave the body plug to sort out.

The Factory ECU only allows the fuel pump to run whilst it has an ignition signal. The code 12 suggests it doesn't have spark, so no fuel. Time to start looking at Igniters plus ensure they are getting power when cranking.

If you can get your hands on a computer to test with it may save some dollars. Do you have the check engine light on before you start the car. Could be a wiring fault.

At a guess you had a short within that loom. Electrical tape is useless in engine looms as they get too hot. Invest in heat shrink and brush up on soldering wires together and you should be able to avoid that happening again.
