    Please welcome my son John!

Agree, if you are going to drive it in traffic, and cant go to a billion dollar carbon clutch, an Auto would be lovely!

    Please welcome my son John!

Aerotop, nice, just like mine. I say first step has to be a manual conversion! Id keep the 2JZGTE to be honest, massive power potential and rpm potential and very known path to whatever power you want.

Clutches multi plate to big single disc... review

Justen, resident of the island to my left, has it mostly right on the clutches. Id love to try a triple carbon clutch, but who has 6k for a clutch, well thats what I have spent but you get my drift. I like the idea of a slave and fork as the fingers that push out when it wears will relac with...

Clutches multi plate to big single disc... review

So I went from a twin plate QM 7.25 inch setup using a hydraulic release bearing to a full sized cromoly flywheel, with a 10" Nissan 1600kg cover and 9.5" 6 puck ceramic sprung centre disc. The multiplate is not nice at all for the street, short life span and hard to engage smoothly, hard on...

Parts Quartermaster clutch, flywheel, and hydraulic release bearing for sale

Yeah he knew it needed new plates before he purchased, I even took more pics of the side view of the plates, and we discussed places to buy new plates and their cost. The buyer was very unrealistic, brought a used clutch with all the information I could provide, and knowing that expected to find...

    HP potential from TRD Supercharger

Hmmmm well, my mate has a 500WHP FWD Celica, (3S), and I must say, the doors on that thing weigh 100kg each! lol Some glass panels would go a long way I would suggest.

    HP potential from TRD Supercharger

    clutch problems 1988 hilux surf - 1uzfe

SC is easier than turbo by far. Turbo makes a lot more power psi for psi though. If you dont have massive power goals, then SC, if you wont decent power, I say go turbo. Its still a lot of work / money either way, probably more for turbo in the end though...

    clutch problems 1988 hilux surf - 1uzfe

Well its easier to just buy a cylinder of the right size to start with, depending on the side the slave mounts to etc, since I made a custom mount for the slave, it was just easier to get it sleeved very easy and common to do. I needed it resleeved as the clutch was not fully disengaging. Its a...

    clutch problems 1988 hilux surf - 1uzfe

I had to get one resleeved today as well, was 20mm going to 18mm and see if that helps enough. Its certainly an art doing conversions...

    clutch problems 1988 hilux surf - 1uzfe

Could be a failed master or slave, maybe replace the slave since its cheap and easy. Seems like the release bearing is not pushing far enough on the cover. If the setup worked initially, then there should not be any reason why you need to change cylinder sizes. If the clutch wore then the...
