    Yet another diagram question.

Hi All, I've been scouring the site but been unable to find links that match up with my engine. So the code on the ECU is 89661-30500, which from searching other threads should mean its from a: 1991 UZS141 Crown Majesta 89661-30500 175000-4911 pins (same config as soarer/sc400) plug 1 40+40p...

Total Noob Question On The Starter Motor

Cobber, Thanks for the advice, I actually saw the the flex plate being pulled from the motor when I bought it I am fairly sure it was a 1UZ-FE it came off of. I think I'll have a go at stater motor guts, it takes a reasonable pull by hand to pull out the pinion but it can be done and it snaps...

Total Noob Question On The Starter Motor

Yeah, I've tried the thing without the spacers and the starter does no retract at all then either (it interferes with the ring even when retracted). I also tried to ensure that the motor was as far up as possible when bolting in, but it is coming up on the locating part of its body, so ends up...

Total Noob Question On The Starter Motor

Ok so due to my flywheel arrangment I've moved the flexplate back against the crank (spacer removed). Which has caused the starter motor to need shifting back too. BTW in the interest of full disclosure, the flew plate I have did not come with the motor, it was bought later from a wreckers...

    Mystery part ID

So the parts below cam in a box with the engine, and as yet I've not been able to identify their purpose. anyone recognize these... 1. Small bore tube painted black, thats a cut rubber hose on one end. 2. looks like some sort of presessure sensor or switch? 3. Some sort of valve with...

    Serpentine Belt. Power Steering Delete

Hi Zuffen, On the left hand thread I thought a good dose of thread lock would sort that issue out, but the point is noted. Frankly I think 6 pulleys to drive 2 devices is too many already, if I could figure a way to make one of the other 2 idlers adjustable then the tensioner in qustion could...

    Thermostat housing options.

Well the engine is in the middle of the car and the radiator is at the front, lying flat. I need to turn the outlet from the thermostat immediately as there very little room between it and the firewall at the rear of the passenger compartment. Essentially I need it to go over the top of the...

    Thermostat housing options.

Next question.... I need the thermostat housing to point up and to the right rather than left as standard (see below). The housing can't be rotated 180 to fit either. So does anyone know of a part that'd work or will I have to make one? Thanks, Doug.

    Serpentine Belt. Power Steering Delete

Hi All, Starting to look at the engine for my car, there'll be very minor mods to it just to get the thing up and running. Firstly I'm getting rid of the power steering as I'm not using it in the car but the a/c stays, so I end up with a belt routing like this: Now the tensioner is rotating...

Twin M45 charged 1uzfe project taking shape

Hi Thomas, Firstly having a frame delivered in that level of completeness you should having it running by now! :banana:Ha ha just kidding! Ok so from your description it sounds like the (refer to my crappy edit of your picture) the green tubes are interfering with heads in the area of the...

    1UZ-FE and Audi 012 joined!

Justen, I suspect a high torque FI motor would break it. My car should be under 1000kg finished so I won't need that much torque and I'd prefer to make the motor a screamer anyway (if I ever get that far). Cobber, I am overseas this week, I'll be at the builders club meet next week though.

I should put a link to my bog in my sig I guess, this explains a bit more what I am up to: http://guerillamotive.com/ The shift link is at the very rear of the box hiden behind by one frame tubes and not connected yet, the box is a 2WD 5 speed unit from a Porsche Boxster. This is a mid...

    M10x1.25 x 35mm Flywheel bolt source?

You are correct more searching on the web revealed this. Look at point 32 on page 7 basically the service guy didn't read it right missed the "." so got 10x wrong. eek! Having said that 26.5 N·m (270 kgf·cm, 19 ft·lbf) seems too light to me. And i'd be more inclined to go for the 2RZ Torque...
