problem with getting a W58 tranny is that i dont know if it is availible in the US, i will need to check around and see. also, im not lazy, i just havent started actually doing anything yet, i am just seeing if i could feasibly do it. Thanks for the tips.

i gotta a few new questions, 1) which manual trans. do you recommend to use? would the stock 4AG 5 spd possibly work? also where could i get an adaptor plate for the connection? 2) Does anyone know a good shop/site that sells some of these parts? or is a local junkyard a good source...

im wondering how much it would cost to put a 1uz-fe in a AE86 with a five speed (props to sprinterTRD). supposing that i do it one the cheap and dont go all out on the high performance parts, how much would a LS400 1uz-fe cost? and what specifically do i need to perform this swap, parts wise...
