Roller rockers The reason for the roller rocker design is to have a cam design with minimal lift but longer duration. At least that was the rational for the roller design for the 1gr v6's, which use a similar setup, so I would assume the cam setup on the 1ur is for the same reason.

I have a 22re in my 86 4x4 yota pickup that has 1mm oversize valves on the standard seats. 1mm over in the 22r/re/rte heads is a common practice. Just food for thought.

Acutually the 1uz is lighter than the ls1 I believe. I believe the ls1 is 430# dry and the 1uzfe is like 390# dry?

Its not going to provide great lift. The lifter under the cam has no multiplication effect. It being taller is just going to make your valves not seat properly. Yes it will create more lift from the seat, but not lift as in total travel of the valve. It wont shut if this shim/bucket is taller...

I dont know the bore or stroke, but they are TRD made/designed pushrod v8's. I would like to find out some more info on them as well.

Are your turbos getting too much oil pressure? Could a simple restriction in the line solve this?

sequential injection only makes a difference at idle and low engine rpm. above a certain rpm/injector duty cycle they become batch fired as there is not enough time during the opening of the intake valve to inject all the needed fuel into the intake.

Like he said ,pull the intake plumbing and look for signs of oil leakage by way of the turbo. Pull the plugs and look for fouled plugs from oil. If you are burning oil, and the smoke is really white, you must be burning an assload of oil. Otherwise if its white, it can be coolant. A good thing...

Yes the rods are the same length and the stroke is different. The piston pins are at a different location on the pistons. eg: 1uzfe pistons taller than 2uzfe pistons.

Why dont you try Megasquirt? Its cheap( ~$140 for kit, $65 for univ wiring harness kit, there is a daughter card that can do extra stuff for $40-50 ). You have to solder it all together yourself, but its a good way to learn about it and how everything works, plus you can fix it down the road if...
