    Transaxle conversion

The clutch is in the tranaxel. the drive shaft spins all the time at motor RPM they pop around 400hp. and they shift like crap.. I have been looking at the vett setup for my Milano if I boost my 3L

1uz/3uz vvti mechanism description & pics

One thing to note. If you add lift to the cam etc. you will likely need to change the stops of the vvt or it will hit. I know on the Alfas 4cyl when the hot cams were used the vvt was welded. Then they found how to change them to not move so much and started to use them again. now they use a...

    oil cooled engines?

rarson is deadon. almost all cars have the bypass even my 72 Alfa spider. The bypass is there to let the car heat up fast.(helps with smog for one) and many other things as to why you want it at temp as soon as you can. also with out the bypass the temp will oscolate. FI system do not like...

    Hydraulic Supercharging

"Losses are way to big." I have to ask why do you think losses are so great? if this just a guess or based on something. the losses would be friction in the pump and a very very tiny bit in the tubes. leaking in the pump would that be loss? or or just made up by changeing the displacement...

    Hydraulic Supercharging

hmm that John Deere CVT sounds cool. but I think you would loose the advantage of going with hydraulic system as you would also need a belt going to them. The hydraulic variable displacement pumps seem to be a common part I looked at how one works very cool...

    8 Throttle Body Intake

yea that has mechanical injection system. I am working on adding a servo system to it will be controled by the ECU I made.(I am one of the hardware guys that did VEMS) just waiting to get a 2nd pump I can use to to make the parts. I am driving this car right now. The A//F MAP is a 3dcam that is...

    Piston and Bore clearances

I would say you might need to have them bored to the same size you see to get then true. if it is worn the size will not be the same in all directions. also you will need to hone them so the new rings will seat.

Stroking the 1UZFE and 8 throttle bodies

There has been a lot of success using bike ITB on the 4cyl cars. it has been used a lot for cars that did not have injection before That carbon fiber mannifold will also help keep the air cool as it will not trasfer heat from the heads

    Valve Guide Bosses

oversize valves and too close to spark plug can be bad.. this is what happened on my alfa with oversized valves. I have to index them or use a non 'J' type plug like the bosh +4

    8 Throttle Body Intake

I few things with ITB's one. do not use MAP. use TPS the MAP is not usable in most cases. two. tune them for the right length and size now for vac for somthing like the powerbreaks. If you look at somthing like a alfa 4cyl with ITBs they ran a port only into one cyl. the one close to...

Stroking the 1UZFE and 8 throttle bodies

hmm. one thing that no said was the tuning. The ITB is a bit easer to tune but the magic is in the runners. runners into a big pipe. Or ITB the length and size needs to be tuned. There is also a size the big pipe at the end need to be if there is one. if any of the parts are wrong and you will...

    Hydraulic Supercharging

alfa did it in the in the mid 60's, Alfa Romeo built the GTA-SA with twin centrifugal superchargers driven by hydraulic motors. It used an engine-driven variable displacement pump to maintain compressor speed. Using pressurized carburetors for fuel management, and water injection as a...

    Oil Jets

just a thought. but if a strip was ran down the oil gallery you could dril into the strip and have a solid backing. it would make for a easy install as it would be all drilling. the strip would have 4 big holes and 4 small taped holes.
