Newb with a couple of questions

If you are talking about the two large threaded holes, one per rail. One is for the fuel feed line/fuel pressure reg and the other is for the fuel pulse dampener.

    1uz (1st gen) intake adapter

I built mine useing the bottom half of the stock lower manifold and it has worked very nicely. My manifold plus the whipple 1600A supercharger is the same hight as the stock manifold. I still have the fixture I made for the build and could make another one if you were intersted. I also have a...

    1uz (1st gen) intake adapter

The 4.7 TRD tundra supercharger is only a eaton M90 in a custom housing if I remember correctly. The M90 is on the small side for supercharging on a 1uz and being a roots blower it heats up the incoming air quite a bit. You can probably only get like 5 to 7 psi out of it safely. If you keep a...

    Standalone ECU Why aftermarket ECU?

The OEM ecu is fine for a basic swap, stock 1uz with auto or manual transmision. How ever if you plan to go with forced induction, or cams, Itb's or other moderate to extream changes the factory ecu just can't handle them. There is also no way to rechip or flash the stock ecu as far as I know...

modding a turbo molelecular pump for forced induction use ???

A few links to some basic info. The inspiration http://www.axialflow.com/products.htm Turbomolecular pump basics http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turbomolecular_pump PDF for one of the pumps I might buy. Varian V-81 M DN63 http://www.idealvac.com/files/brochures/VarianTurboV81-M_1.pdf

modding a turbo molelecular pump for forced induction use ???

I have always loved turbine engines and axial turbine superchargers. I have recently found a pair of turbo molecular pumps for sale at a price that's almost free. I started to wonder if I unbolted the turbine stage section from the electric motor drive unit could the turbine part be made to...

Any one know anything about the first Whipple superchargers built by Sprintex

What's the displacement of the opcon? I am looking for a twinscrew in the 2.0L to 3.0L range or a Lysholm built whipple 1600ax as that would be a cheep bolt on replacement for mine that died.

Any one know anything about the first Whipple superchargers built by Sprintex

I did finaly find a site that listed sprintex models and there displacements and the sprintex blower that I found for sale was only a 1.1 L. The sprintex blowers are diffrent from the opcon autorotor units. Whipple used sprintex blowers for a year and a half before switching to the opcon...

    Amplifier brand

I would recommend Adcom, Soundstream (pre 2000 buyout), Nakamichi, TRU, Arc, A/D/S/, Audison, Brax, Mcintosh, Linear Power, Lunar, Butler Audio, 1990's PPI, ZED audio, 1990's japan built Alpine. I personally think that there are almost no good car audio company's left. All the amps and subs...

    1GZ-FE bellhouse pattern

That would be ausome! CMM beats calipers any day. I need to figure out skype and get X3 reinstalled and set up but that would be a big help. If you want a copy of my master cam X3 PM me. Its the FULL version with everything, all the posts, art to vector, solids, all the file converters, no...

Standalone ECU some advice pls on fitting ms..ie trigger wheel.

I am running my early 1uz on MS2 useing a stock style 12 tooth wheel with 1 tooth ground off. I spent 1 1/2 years tring to get the stock VR sensor to work and finely threw that crap in the trash and spent $40 on a hall effect sensor. That is probbly the biggest improvement I ever made to the...

    1GZ-FE bellhouse pattern

Do you have a 1gz bellhousing? I have one that I was planning on mesuring up by hand before I mount up my R154 so that I have the pattern for future use without having to pull the engine. It would just be a hand drawn pattern with the x,y positions of the holes with the input shaft as zero. I...

    gearbox adaptor plates.

The 1GZ bellhousing is .100" longer then the 1UZ but that is probably due to the differences in the blocks. After some test fitting and taking some measurements it looks like I could make the adapter any where between 1.150" to 1.250" thick.

    Dry sumping the 1GZ

I under stand what you guys are getting at and I agree that a drive off the crank would be better. I will explain the two options I came up with and see what you think would be better. After reading up on dry sump systems on line I figured that I would start off running the pump at 60% crank...
