2JZ-GTE Celsior waiting for a manual conversion...(need advice)

I don't know if you have the car already but the early GS300 is a better place to start cuz it with a 2JZGTE in japan. Aristo cuts can be had for 2K--you'll need this if you go with the LS anyway. It has the necessary front sump. wiring up the tach will be a doozy though--8 cylinder to 6. Big...

    LS7 or Viper V10

While the pissing contest is great and all . .. who really cares. We are talking about engine we don't have or plan to own, so . . . But I will say this . . . the reason why the chevys and dodges get good gas at highway speeds is their 6th gear. They're only running the engines a like...

    LS7 or Viper V10

I understand what your tryin to say, but 7 litre V8 w/titanium connecting rods and forged pistons . . . I think the Vette motor has alot more power potenial than you are giving it credit for. Jacob

    Gas Price

no , use this . At 6 dollars a gallon, I would start considering a 600cc motorcycle of some kind.

    Total TRD package

the biggest problem with the V12 is the same with the V10. No parts. Otherwise at 2 Gs for 500ft-lbs, I would be all over it. I wonder if Toyota will stick that thing in the LF-A concept? That would be sweet. God bless yous. Jacob

    Gas Price

I am selling my ride and getting a scooter... not really. 3.50US per gallon of premium, has cured me of growning about the huge difference between the high and low grade. The prices are so high, 50 cents more per gallon does not seem like that much anymore. It takes almost 50'ish US to...

What brand Mig welding wire to buy in all 3 metals

Hello people, I have been welding scraps over the summer at my neighors machine/fab shop. I was using a mig and mild steel wire on CO2. He says CO2 is the for mild steel. I say there has got to be a better mix. I was just learning with scraps so it was not that pretty anyway, but the splatter...

2 Bolt to 4 Bolt Main Modification

You sir... are the man. I was pondering the same idea, but I thought the 3uz main caps would be better because they seem chunkier and lop the bolt mains off with a horizontal bandsaw. I can seen from the pics the 3uz main caps would weaken the block without the side bolt mains...

Where would one get replacement parts for a 3.5L v10 that spins around 15000rpms?

    Low oil pressure

I do not know. I wrote him to the effect of not being comfortable with purchasing the engine until I knew a little more about the problem. And he has probably sold it by now because he mentioned having received 2 other offers. I will be keeping an eye out for another VVT-i and a low...

    Low oil pressure

Hello Zuffen, I was thinking the same. Though, there are not that as many VVT-i's as 1st and 2nd gens. Also, it was going to be for a 1/2uz hybrid, so the bottom end was only a resale concern. I have to get used to this forum's pace. Usually on forums a knowledgable reply happens...

    Low oil pressure

Hello people, I am considering the 1uz for sale. It had low oil pressure when the guy started it. My intial thought was the oil pump, but I have been advised that this is highly unlikely. Someone also suggested a cracked block or bad bearing. Any ideas to what it might be? I appreciate it...

Couple a Qs. (2UZ physical dimensions, rod/stroke ratio)

Hey Lex, Thanks you quick reply and info. Lower compression pistons could be the best way. At least it would be better if you are going with boost. Bore/stroke ratio is not the same as rod/stroke. Rod/stroke determines where the power will be in the rpms and how high or low an engine...
