The plan is to extend deeper as well and drop the pickup lower too. Baffles and a windage tray will also be installed to reduce slosh and aeration.

It was drilled and tapped to fit the AN fitting. It's possible I may not even be able to use that if the drain line angle is too small. I will be extending the sides of the oil pan for extra capacity, so it may be relocated onto the extension.

Just realized I never put up shots of the turbo/engine in the car. Going to print some of these off and start putting them around the house for motivation to get working. Piping will come straight out of the turbo into a 180 and right through the intercooler. The total piping length...

Alright, seeing as the car isn't going to be done this year with the first snowfall and all, I've decided to reveal a part of the build that has been kept a secret for the most part. The turbo is a Turbonetics GTK-650, wastegate is a Turbosmart Pro-Gate 50mm stainless unit. Everything is being...

Oh it could drive this low, but ground clearance and suspension travel are sorta essential to racing.

For the approval of the fitment Nazis. The front isn't actually staying where it is in these pics. The control arms still need to be shortened and there aren't any caster rods in place to keep the wheels centered in the wheelwells. The fenders were pulled out a few inches at the bottom for these...

Well once my car is complete and proven its way through some local shakedown events I plan to do a few weeks running events down the west coast one fall/winter. PIR, Streets of Willow, Willow Springs, Laguna Seca, possibly more. There is actually another guy a few hours away from me that has...

Well there's only one Supra part in it, that being the tranny. It's quite the hybrid at this point though.

    1uzfe into '84 Starlet

Looks like it will be quite the little beast. I love Starlets too, my buddy just purchased a ready-to-go track unit with full TRD widebody a few months back.

Went with IRS because the solid axle is a huge limiting factor for the Corolla in GT racing. Yes, I know it would have made more sense to start with a different platform, but what can I say ... I love my Corollas. Smitherz - Yes it will be getting caged soon. Once the engine work stuff is done...

    Motor/Transmission Mounts

Swapped into an AE86 Corolla using an S13 subframe. This might be a little more extreme than most people are willing to go though. The actual mounts are Energy Suspension units for heavy duty GM truck trannys. Much more room for the exhaust than I was originally expecting. This is going to...

So at the moment we have the front camber plates from the S13 suspension positioned and mounted. The front control arms are going to be shortened, boxed and have a huge 3/4" heim joint added to the ends for adjustability and to avoid any binding that might have been caused with the stock arms by...

More pics. Engine mounts are pretty much done, just need to do some shaping on the plates to make them all pretty and round so they don't cut the **** out of our arms when working from under the car. You can't tell from the top, but there is about 10" of weld underneath the mount, so these...

Began fitting the engine here. After looking at using the rear sump pan we realized that the engine would have to go about 14" back into the car, which was just too much. So we swapped on the front sump pan and it's looking much closer to what I'd like to see. We threw around the idea of dry...
