hey guys,
Richwood does not seem to be in business, and I needed a pulley to fit their manifold. I am willing to pay for someone to fabricate it if need be.
6lb or 9lb pulley should do fine.
Hey guys,
Video was to demonstrate low end torque. Even with big wheels and new tires on the back they will light up easily. On acceleration the car will take off without losing any traction.
I need to tune it ASAP. It is leaning out at about 3500 RPMs. I am sure I could hit 6 sec. 0-60...
The ECM solved all my problems!!!!!
No more erratic shifting, slow acceleration (even with the blower), and check engine light is gone on hard acceleration as well.
I am led to believe that rebuilding these things should be done by a lot of us who suffer from never ending problems. Day and night...
Circuit Description
The throttle position sensor is mounted in the throttle body and detects the throttle valve opening angle. When the throttle valve is fully closed, the IDL contacts in the throttle position sensor are on, so the voltage at the terminal IDL of the engine control module become...
What I meant was the ECM is not sending out a voltage of 12v to the idle circuit once the actual idle contacts do open.
Since the there is no voltage the computer thinks the TPS is closed.
The TPS is working perfect, the idle contacts open at the slightest throttle opening when tested with a...
OK I just checked everything as the manual stated. It seems the idle contacts are staying closed even when the throttle is floored. The TPS sensor tested perfectly. I have continuity through each wire from the TPS. The ECM is the only possible problem.
So how can 2 ECM's go bad????
I am going to...
Thanks for the attachment... I am going to wait for a couple of the early games to finish first.
Cribbj, congrts on your setup it looks like no other 1UZFE I have ever seen before. Cant wait to see the ####'s
I have connected most of the wires for the piggyback. I am just monitoring at this point. The problem is not only at boost onset it happens when cruising and the accelerator pedal is pushed slowly about 1/4 way. This is all during vacuum.
Fuel pressure shoots up to 60 - 90 PSI on boost...
A bit of bad news....the damn ecu keeps giving me a TPS code everytime I floor it or get past a certain throttle angle. If I cruise and barely push it I can drive normally, but as soon as I push the peddle down 1/4 way the engine bogs down and bucks. I will follow all the wiring back to the ECU...
Also the car seems a lot quicker off the line if I bypass the fuel pump ECU, by jumping the "FP" & "+B" ports at the engine data box.
I have another fuel pump ECU and it behaves the same way. I guess the increased voltage is making the pump go into high gear quicker.
