Hello All,

I'm going to set up a race boat with one of these engines.
Which model or year engine is better to with.

I will be building a N/A engine needing 450+ hp. I want to use an alloy V8 as the lighter weight will suit my boat.

I don't want to get half way through a build and find out there is a better block or heads I could of used.

Also what $$ are these intakes worth. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/320760345524?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

Thanks in advance.

The VVT engine's are way a head...
The rotating assemblies are much lighter..
Any more power .. Forged rotating assembly
makes solid, very durable engines..
Boats tend to be hard on cranks and rods..

Cams are avaliable. Dont know of any injection intakes but I also dont know at what point the factory ones become inefficient. The factory intake may make your 400hp. Stock car boys over here have to run carbs so there are those intakes made. I would suggest keeping the VVti intact and spend time tuning it properly. I have a rebuilder over here who builds stock car engines doing lots of VVti engines. 400-450hp as long as you have a big enough cheque book.
