whers the colent temp sensor for gauge?

1995 uk spec engine,(1uz-fe)

wheres the coolent temp sensor for the gauge located?? where does the wiring for it go? (into the engine loom or seperate??

silly question i know, but engine now in range rover, and no info on said engine.

On top of the front water bridge.

To the left (looking at it) of the thermosatat.

Or to alternatively at the very left hand front (again looking at it) of the manifold. Same part but an alternative way of finding it.

thanks ..will look for it tomorrow after work..(and see if rangie one will fit, so as to keep gauge accurate)

The Lexus one works with the Rangie instrument.

I ran it that way for a few years.
