Greetings all, I'm new to the forum.
I am currently doing an engine transplant using an SC400 engine. I have read the posts on manual transmission conversion and I am willing to attack the speed sensor emulator. I understand the output shaft speed sensor (20 pulses per rev) and the reduction at the speedo to 4 pulses/rev. About speed sensor number 2, I have seen it refered to as the clutch speed. Is this a sensor to determine when the trans torque converter is locked? Does it change speed relative to sensor 1 based on which gear is engaged or just based on the clutch slip? Anybody have enough documentation or been into the automatic enough to check this out?
If I can get this info, I may be able to put together the electronics to fool it.
