Hello people, I have a 1992 sc400 and have been modifing alot of electric components and am gettong concerned about the stock amp being able to hang. I need to know if the stock alternator can handle all these electical upgrades or is it time to go for the 175amp alternator?
This is the electrical upgrades so far-
1) Dual flex-a-lite electric fan (draws 19.5 amp) replaced oil driven fan.
2) Nos Bottle heater wrap and core
3) Walbro electric fuel pump
4) 250w kicker stereo amplifier, (changing to KX450w kicker amp next week)
5) headlight bulb upgrades and high beam (slightly brighter -blue)
6) Autolite nos spark plugs and wires.
I have a hyper voltage regulator and a capacitor and am currently using a stock battery and stock alternator. Based on what I am running can anyone tell me if I need to be concerned about the alterternator being overwhelmed? Any replies would really be appreciated, guesses are welcome as well.
