Starter troubles

I sometimes are having big troubles getting my engine started. The starter changes speed from time to time.

Sometimes it runs very fast, and the engine starts easy, but sometimes it runs really slow, and the car wont start at all.

Any ideas?

What do the second wire to the relay on the starter do? Now it's not hooked up to anything at all.

I found the problem.

Was a bad earth cable for the engine. Starts perfectly now.
