SC400 Rings?

So I noticed that as far as the SC400 goes, there are ring sets for 92-95, 96, 97, and 98-2000. What are the differences between the 92 rings and the 96 rings? Are they interchangeable?

1996 is a series-2 engine with 10HP increase and a 10.4:1 compression increase. You'll probably find different pistons in there.

Lextreme has a thread showing rod changes between different engine series. The heavier-duty rods from the first series 1UZ seem to justify the claim they can "just" be setup for forced induction.

Check the size ?? It could be just different engineered ring as in bevel on inside top rings [for example]to aid ring seal..
While earlier models may not have this feature ??
Check with what fits your pistons / bore. I assume std bore ??

Btw it "COULD" be a blown head gasket ??
Have you done a leak down test ?? Compression test.. ???
