Power Steering modfication

Ive put the 1uzfe into an old 1982 carina and am wonder if there is a way to reduce the amount of assistance the power steering gives, its a bit too much at as it is right now making the steering too light.

Any ideas?

Did you install a restrictor in the line as per factory? Cheers

Alot of factory powersteer systems use a restrictor. Have you every noticed a crimp fitting in the middle of a rubber P/S hose for no real reason. Often a restrictor is crimped in there. Cheers

hmm- never looked close enough to be honest-any idea on the sixe of the hole in the restrictor? or will i jsut have to experiment?

wow great thread. I always wished My UCF10 had more of a hard feel. I have many many suspension mods and this would compliment them very nicely. So this "in line" restrictor can just be added to one of the PS lines?? which line in particular uses the mod? I just replaced my rack, pump, bushings and wish i just had more steering wheel feedback. Btw, anyone with early LS... BUY THE STEERING RACK BUSHES makes all the difference!!
