Newbie with 60 series lc

Hi all.
Just found this forum and want to say hi.
My name is Dave and spend my time flitting between working in Nigeria and South Africa/Uk/Spain
i have a series 60 Landcruiser with a Lexus v8 conversion.
Ive owned the vehicle for around 5 years and it was converted 2 years ago.

The old 2F engine was ok but slow noisey and thirsty.
The conversion transformed the vehicle and along with modern Toyota brakes, gearbox etc it is now a real pleasure to drive.

I look forward to participating here, and already have a question or two.

What gearbox did you use? H55F? or went with an R series?

Can you tell us alittle more about your project. What kinds of problems did you have to overcome when putting the Toyota V8 in the Land Cruiser?
Which motor did you swap? 1uz? 2uz?
