Hey everone, I figured i would share my weekends work on a friend of mines mr2. I put togather a much imporoved fuel system for him...
Here is the stock pump assembly with a walbrow pump and stock hardlines.
ok so here is the end resuld of taking the part above and cutting off the lines and the braket for the pump, i added a metal pick up tube and flared the end of it, also i bent the return tube so it minimized the turbulance in the tank, also bent it away from the pickup. also in the pic is some -10an and -6an hose.
here is the plate back in place on the tank with the new much larger lines, the stock tank was retained becouse i wouldnt even want to contenplate the complexity of trying to mount a fuel cell in that car.
heres the pump in the back trunk area where it will be mounted although backwords in the pic. also seen is the water tank, pump and I/c
i still need to pick up some fittings to get it all hooked up.
