i need to move my oil filter..

hi..need to move filter as it hits the chassis big time..(woe)

i see some have made a plate thats tapped to take pipes to remote filter...now is there any one way valves in the oe filter housing to take into account??and is the water oil cooler nessary??

will paper gasket rather than machined recess for rubber gasket be ok (as wont be able to machine grooves in (block to adapter gasket)

any other ideas to get clearance (filter needs to come down an inch or so)

cash is limited (cos this oh think i will "just" get this 1972 range rover going (wont take long)has turned out to be full restore and modify and fit uz into..ie bankrupting me..bespoke manifolds,new body sheel,leather interior,cnc flywheel, etc etc...ahhhh)

sorted i hope now(well tomorrow i get bits)

using mocal sandwich plate,goes in place of oil cooler using original lexus take off..pipes from that to mocal remote oil filter housing, which the lexus oil cooler handily fits...oil filter hangs there..
