I have just discovered that when i followed Zuffen's wiring guide for the 1UZFE his guide say's to cut the blue white wire in the 16 pin plug this wire is the wire for the TE1 terminal in the diagnostic connector so you may need to reconnect this wire if you happen to cut it. if you check the blue/white wire on Kdogs diagrams it says check connector 1.
hope this helps some people with the check light not working in a 1990 crown motor.
not trying to put zuffen down or anything just i found the mistake and am stoked as i might get the engine going again now... was running just didn't like to come back to idle (would stall alot) then just stopped now won't start.
