Hot starter problems

My starter works perfectly when its cold, but once the engine gets to temperature it doesnt work at all.

When i turn the key the dash lights dim, and I can't hear the starter solenoid clicking at all. I've checked the 'neutral switch' and it all checks out.

I replaced the starter about a month ago, as the last one's stator was shorting. Now this one is giving me the run around.

Any ideas what causes such annoyances?

I should mention that its not the immobiliser or relay. The engine is fitted in a hilux so neither of those are an issue....

If it's not the relay, perhaps your ignition switch?

No relay, and there is power to the solenoid wire as far as i can trace it so i dont think its the ignition switch....

Perhaps starter is not working properly when hot. You can eliminate relay issues by bypass the whole electrical system. If it still not starting during hot temp, then starter is acting up.
