Does anyone in the US have a set of hanging (crane) scales with a capacity up to 500 or 600 lbs they'd like to rent me for a week or so soon?
I'll be picking up my 1UZ motor with a motor hoist in a few weeks, and I'd like to know how much it weighs, and will show the results here.
If no one has a set of these scales, I'm thinking of purchasing a set like the photo below. 1000 lb capacity, 0.2 lb resolution, 1.5 x rating overload rating. Looks like a good deal for $180, and it should make weighing motors, transmissions, and components much easier in the future.
