cold starting

hi to all,is it normal for cold starts in the morning(around 0 degrees cel) for the motor to crank over for 3-5 seconds before firing.Once fired it runs perfectly on fast idle.Also what could the problem be with only getting 4-4.4km per litre?

Do you have a UZZ3x Soarer?
If so, I'd say your fuel pump ecu is on its way out.
Bridge FP and +B in the diagnostics box on the motor one morning and test it.


Its also possible that the ignition system is on its way out (plugs, leads, dizzy caps, rotors), just from being old.

Its hard to tell without more information about your car.
