What is the best style for a Y pipe design?Who makes it?

I am looking to replace the restrictive looking stock Y junctions on my 99 LS.

I am looking to replace the restrictive looking stock Y junctions on my 99 LS.

While they may LOOK restrictive the front Y pipe is not a problem. The rear Y pipe is not as good especially since it feeds the funky side entry middle mufflers.

I am actually proceeding with my plan to build an upgraded Y pipe. I will start a thread here so look to that for details.
