auto or 5 speed?

i have a 91 celsior (a341e) i have to change my rear main soon cause atf started pouring out of some where onto my cat yesterday, but while the tranny is out i might as well do some changes and i dont know if i should stick with the auto, the only things i can do to it are torque converter, valve body, and a cooler which would total about $1200. Now the r154 wouldnt be a bad choise i just dont know how far along superrunner is with his bellhousing, and having to fabricate a clutch in to the car could be a lil hard what does everyone think?

oh and a couple Q's about FI. i might put a m90 or m112 SC or save up enough for david's "fish" and i know the R154 would handle the power but what about the a341e auto whats peak power on that trans? thanks.
