Air Con Problem (Bliming things not COLD!)

Hello
Im new to this so hi
I have a Celsior 1990 model, the aircon was not cold. Took it to this air con place, they regassed it and put some dye in it. Couple of hours later, its not cold again! The most tell tailing sign was that when i turned off the car after going to the shops for food, there was a hissing noise from behind the vents and a foul smell in the car.
What could this be...especially considering the hiss and a car that smells really bad (probably a very very big leak to lose all the gas in a couple of hours)?
Is it a costly fix?
Does it require the removal of the dash board?
Anyone got diagram or know of where to find one if dash board needs to be removed.

Sounds like your expansion valve is not opening. The expansion valve is located at teh passenger side of the glove compartment (US version) There is a valve like the tires you can put to see if any pressure come out. The valve is located near the valve in the engine bay.

The shop said it needs a new compressor. Wants like $1000USD at least. But they are trying to just reseal it for half the price. Would this work?
