I own a mint condition 91 limited 1 uzfe Soarer. Today , I went to start the car and it would fire and run on starter but as soon as I released the key the engine dies. I purchased the car 3 months ago and since rebuilt the power steering pump, replaced the alternator , replaced the RHF strut and finally replaced a blown head gasket. This car is worth the trouble but with auto electrics I'm stumped! Anybody had the same problem with the ignition?
Today I tried to start again , this time the motor will start but when you put the car in gear the engine cuts out. The dash is now coming up with a engine electric system warning. I got back under the hood and I noticed a broken wire on the air conditioning compressor is broken, would this be enough to cause the problem?
