1uz -> S4 (2000 model) is it possible ?

Hi guys,
Being the experts on all things 1uz i was just wondering if you guys know if its possible to fit a 1uz in the engine bay of an S4.. . one of these bad boys ... http://www.ktrperformance.com/gallery/Project_Cars/KTR_S4/s4_main.htm

what about in an ordinary a4 of the same era ???

If it fits in the S4 would the standard transmission and awd gear be able to be hooked up to the lexus donk ?

you would probably need to source an audi S8, they had a v8 in them already. The s4 had a very tight engine bay. Not that i am saying it is impossible, but i would think that the s8 would be a better starting point.

Everything is possible, it just depends on how much you want it...

First things first, have you measured the lenght of the Audi engine, from the gearbox flange to the front of the engine, to verify that the you have enough rom for the 1UZFE ? It will look strange if the front of the 1UZFE comes thru the front grill....

If you have enough lenght there should not be to difficult to get it into the car as adapters between 1UZFE engines and VW/Audi gearboxes excist. Have a search thru the site.

I dont actually have an audi...
just some random thoughts went through my head and i wondered if it had been done before.....

guess i will have to find some audi guys and find out how big the engine bay is .. thanks anyways
