Seriously,spiders don't go out looking to bite you..stats will show that more people are "bitten" by cars than spiders..lol

umm, arent tarantulas a type of spider...

its about the average size huntsman spider we get here in Australia every house will have atleast 1...

She's only a wood spider isnt she?

Not poisonous, but wound can weep and be painfull for a few weeks. Basically huntsman genus, but can get a bit bigger with a flatter head and abdomen.

Black widow - kinda nasty but the same family and poison as our redback spider... which is about 15th on our poisonous spiders list... Yawn.

We've got (Aus that is) something like 11 of the top 12 deadliest nasties.

I could send you pics of the Sydney Funnel Web that was in my old garage (nasty bugger that one!) or the nest of redbacks in my new garage, or the white tip found on my washing line in Jan - which when it bites you causes the skin to rot and die.

My wife is a serious arachnophobe - so I know way too much about spiders!
