Timing Belt on 2000 GS400 with 1uzfe engine

Sorry if this information is already posted but I could not locate it.

I have the Lexus manual for this car and I understand that the cam timing marks are the vertical lines casted into the plates behind the cam pulleys. However, there is also the letter T stamped just to the right of these marks with no explanation of these. Does anyone know what these are?

I don't think you understood my question. Look at the picture I added here. What are the letter T reference marks? The book shows the vertical line to the left as the correct timing reference mark.

Vertical line is the reference. Make you get OEM T Belt. DON'T BUY AFTERMARKET BELT! Make sure your crank is on DTC and line up your cam gears to the marks. Install the belt according to the marks on the belt. They ALL should line up. You also need to double check the alignment after you release the tension pin. Before anything rotate the engine two times and the marks should go back the original position. If not, then something is wrong.
