We are on our way to swapping a 1UZ into a 1989 Supra MK3 Turbo.
We'd like to keep the R154 tranny(and driveshaft).

Most information for this project came from this superb forum, but even as I read through nearly all Topics regarding this swap there are still some open questions:

1) What is your experience with the parts of CRS? Especially the fitting of the bellhousing.
Is there a flywheel available which fits the R154's normal clutch?
Or is it more wise to go for a 2-disk clutch anyway?

2) Which starter will attach to which flywheel? I found a lot of different informations and I'm a bit confused now.

Although I have an 82 I used the R154 and CRS setup. No problems with the bellhousing or flywheel. Still using stock starter with CRS flywheel. Did change the clutch to the standard style. Same bolt pattern for clutch as a W58 or V6 truck.
Hope that helped a little. :)

So if you wanted to get an upgraded clutch you would have to use one designed for a W58 transmission?

Also, should we get the BH 106A Bellhousing for R154 to 1UZFE?

For my setup I went with:
BH 106 Quad Cam V8 Toyota to Turbo Supra/Coaster with SP 10 Supra spacer
FW 44 V8 Toyota Flywheel
T44-HDMM ACT Clutch Kit (for toyota v6 3VZE truck)

If I remember right the BH106A is for the W58's. And the reason I chose the V6 clutch over the 5m/7m clutch is the pressure plate is stiffer. Torque capacity 339 ft/lbs vs 277 ft/lbs. The disc and pilot bearing are the same for the two kits. Used release bearing included in the CRS kit.
