Question about the 3UZFE Lexus Engine

I remember looking at a service manual and seeing that this engine does not have roller cam followers. If that's correct, does this engine need a ZZDP oil additive?

Good point, but all the UZ motors are this way, and cam failures are not common at all. In fact most of Toyota's DOHC motors have direct acting cams, and they are not affected by the issues that have plagued the domestics with the change in oil additives.
