i think i have seen this done on here, but that don't mean its safe..your oppion please...
now have an offer or 2 on flywheels now(thanks), but still the problem of i need a 10.5 clutch (standard land rover)(or 9.5inch 10 spline 1 inch dia) to enable it to work..
i have i think found a steel billet landy one, which i hope can be supplied without crank holes in, so i can safly get 1 uz drilled in..but as its too large a dia to except the 1uz ring gear (cant see it being machined down on engine side (to fitring gear and starter clearence)and it still have enough metal left on it clutch side (as it is 325mm overall dia)..
so...is it ok to fit on 1 uz crank, but leaving flexiplate(and ring gear) there..with a spacer if nessary to give starter clearence???
