Engine age & history???

Hi,

How can I get a certificate or documentation to prove year of manufacture from my engine?

I've tried the local Toyota dealer and e-mailed the UK head office for customer help and niether could do anything without a vin number or reg..

The engine number is '1UZ 0313503'

Is this for a change to your V5, if so I only had to send them a receipt from the people I purchased the engine from, they just put the price for a 1994 lexus V8, no probs from the DVLA

If the engine is still in original condition i.e. untouched, the spark plug wires will have the year date printed on them.

I'll have a look at the leads tonight.

Bought it for cash with no paper trail.

Well, having looked at a few casted parts and the leads, the 1992 date stamp seems to be consistent so I guess that's the year.
