Ok so I have three probs with my 92 sc400
one: when in overdrive and driving around in the country the trans or LSD? Makes a shuddering shaking vibration when downshifting from d to 3 in auto mode the slower I go or if I'm in a turn speeding up from a low rpm in d the feeling is more noticible. If I'm in a straight away and let the rpms build a bit befor I give it enough gas to shift it usually won't do it
two: when backing up sometimes the carslips out of reverse, I checked the trans Fluid and it's fine at dipstick.
Three: there is a rotational whooshing whirring sound that is coming from the rear center in the u joint LSD area sounds similar to brake pad sticking n rubbing but it is not that, it seems to get slightly louder and mooves from front to back as u bild speed starting at about tailshart of tranny n then moving back to rear as speed passes 15-20mph and higher pitched too
