My brake light is on all the time. This causes the cruise control to not work. I cut the wire to the e-brake hoping this would work but the light is still on 90% of the time and cuts off the cruise control. Is there an easy fix for this , like someway to disconnect the e-brake light or whatever communicates to the cruise that it is on?

Thanks

The stop lamp switch disengages the cruise control. The stop lamp switch is on the pedal. If there is a problem with it being stuck on, your brake lights will be on also.

If you are low on brake fluid, the light comes on.

So, what is the problem? Low on fluid or pedal switch stuck?

Low fluid means you will need pad replacement in the near future. That is the purpose of the indicator.

As the piston comes out of the bore, the cylinder level lowers to fill up the gap.

Each Toyota is a little different. But that is why the light is on. The piston has come out far enough and fluid has dropped that far.

i was low on fluid. but,my brakes are still in very good shape.
