1991 ls400

My LS400 when pulling away from a red light appears sluggish in it acceleration (like; it is starting in 2-gear) , I have had the engine dianosed, tune-up and oil change, so the only thing I can think is that it is something with the transmission. Please advise...

Also - I am seeking to purchase ( FRT & Rear Struts), Rotors, and any performance recommendations to enhance the engine....

Does the car still go through all gears whilst accelerating??? You should be able to count each gear change. Also if the car is staying in 2nd you won't be able to get any drive in reverse gear.
