Gday fellas recently joined and had no luck on the search function

Im chasing info on building a single carbed 1uz in the range of 320-350 flywheel horsepower. Will be using a pre vvti engine. No injection no electronics. Will retrofit a dizzy .

Exhaust are free as it will be going in a boat.

What mods will it need preferably around 7500rpm . Cheers

Better conrods for a start. They're one of the weak links in the later, non-VVTi engines. The early conrods are stronger than the later ones, but I still wouldn't trust them for prolonged duty at high RPM, especially in a boat.......

Nz stock car engines are making more than that and using plenty of revs. If you have Facebook check out Hartley race engines and csl cams. You might find it interesting. Cheers
