There's almost a liter more displacement..I'd be surprised if it DIDNT have more power I bet you can take the crank out of a 2UZ and stroke your UZ to 4.7L.

Actually, us MkIII Supra guys upgrade with the Lexus MAF because it flows much better than stock. Also, I dont think the 2JZ-GTE uses a MAF setup...I believe it uses MAP instead, as does the 1JZ.

I'm not entirely sure how much room there is in the engine bay, but perhaps a small topmount setup mounted sideways right before the intake manifold with heatsheilds to protect it from all the heat in the engine bay from everything between the turbo and intake manifold on single turbo setups...

I think it is a great idea. I'd use the MkIV Supra's 6 speed V160 to bolt to the 1UZ...IIRC it bolts right up. However you might need a custom driveshaft. The 1UZ has the strongest internals of any engine ever made pretty much. Its as strong/stronger than the 2JZ even...I've heard of...
