i have a 1994 hilux with a 1uz in it and was thinking about fitting cruise control. has anybody done this conversion and if so what is involved.

unsure of which IACV it is. the motor is a 1995 motor if that helps (large plastic cover on top). once it is certed and road legal i mite bring it over for you to check out kelvin, and maybe do a power run on the dyno to check the power.

does anyone know how to increase the idle speed on a 1uzfe. have fitted one to my hilux and got it running pretty good. cold start up idle speed is approx 1000 rpm. normal operating temp idle speed is around 300 rpm.

shifter problems disconnect battery and cleared all codes. reconnect battery and code 12 comes back straight away. checked ignition timing and found engine to be running at about 4 degrees. when engine is revved timing goes back to aroung 2 or 3 degrees btdc.:)

i have had a number of codes from my 1uzfe/hilux. code 12 relates to rpm signal, i was advised to recheck the cam timing. cam timing is fine. we checked ignition timing and found it was only running about 4 degrees. when the engine is revved the timing actually retarded further to mayby 2 or 3...

code 12 comes before you start the engine

yeh will get exhaust done in the next week or so and work on it from there. code 12 seems to be very confusing as it relates to rpm signal. but engine starts and revs fine. cant find codes 56, 57 and 78 tho.

a sparky mate of mine wired it up, he has not come across this problem before. the ecu number is 89661-50241. four dark gray plugs, 34pin, 22pin, 16pin and 28pin. unsure of power loss as exhaust is not complete yet and we dont want to enoy the neighbours too much. cheers.

hi, codes are 12,21,27,29,56,57 and 78. im sure 21,27 and 29 are all to do with the o2 sensors, but am unsure about the rest. cheers.
