    Cool, I'm amazed the stock ECU handles the 5.2L without issue. Do you think a 10.5:1 compression would work with the stock ECU? I want to drop in a stroker short block that the stock ECU can deal with until I work over the heads at which time I will go with aftermarket ECU.

    but why do you have to delete the pump? if you just link the lines together, how does it know? it should still function the same way, no? do they sell larger idlers than the one you purchased? i'd rather keep using the oem lexus belt.

    if you are going to be rebuilding your motor, it may be worth looking into titanium bolts. i'll look into having camshaft/crankshaft/accessory pulley bolts replaced with Ti. basically anything that moves. i feel this would be the most beneficial. and for cost may actually prove to be worth...

    it was my understanding that the tundra 4.7 crank & rods + SC400 pistons would clear the valves and block in my 93 SC400 as long as i used the stock SC400 heads/cams/valves. correct me if i'm wrong.

    easy is relative. easy to me is being able to swap crank/rods with ones that drop right in. but to some pulling motors doesnt sound easy.
