VVTi SC400

[Lextreme II]

Got a great deal on this pearl white 1998 SC400. First thing was to have the tow truck delivery directly to my friends auto body shop. Where the OEM 1997-2000 body came off and a complete Shine Project Kit getting ready to be install. While it is waiting for a new armors, this VVTi also getting a set of Megan Coilovers along with two pairs of new shoes. A set of Varrstoen ES2.2.2 with specs of:
19x9.5 with +22 offset front with 235x35x19
19x10.5 with +22 offset front with 275x30x19

This will be my cruiser and perfect for my SC470TT VVTi transplant.

Here is my final product....The OEM body was replaced with Shine Project Kit with a fresh matching coat of paint. This newly born Lexus is wearing Megan Coilovers with Varrstoem ES222. Front 19 x 9.5 with 245 shoes and Rear got 19 x 10.5 with 275. I was told my by body guy that the Shine Kit fits perfectly. No mods needed. The offset is 25mm all round. The front and rear fender need to be roll and slight negative camber. One thing nice about the newer SC is that everything work. I was also told that this VVTi engine was rebuild recently. However, it will be coming out soon to make room for the 470TT. Here are some pictures. Comments are highly welcome....

Great looking SC there David.

How many miles on it? Strange that the engine was "rebuilt" as you would not expect that to be needed except in extreme circumstances.

What is a great deal? (how much?)

If not damaged I bet someone will want the OEM body parts to upgrade and older SC.

Hi John,

The previous owner had a timing belt failure and u know what it means. The car has 244K miles on it and pickup for $4,500. I sold the 1997-2000 body to a young man from AZ and he drove to Cali to pick them up. The oem parts were in excellence condition. I got a Shine Kit similar to the price I sold the original for.
