What you guys think? I think GT28R or T3 will fit nicely in there. A/C delete and Alternator relocate. The turbos will be facing the front. Compressor facing front. Here are some pictures i took earlier.

getting your hands dirty aye? geez that turbo looks like it's lived a hard life, hehe...

t3's are always a good idea because of how abundant they are (here at least) and because they're cheap and can handle decent amounts of power (normally).

the gt28's are gonna cost ya.... better cores though, being a GT and if from garrett or any reputal manufacturer, will likely be twin ball bearing core....

David,

Put your oil pan back on and confirm you will have a place to put a CHRA drain into the pan. I'm not sure how high the oil level is, but it would be worth some investigation. If you're doing a log manifold, I'd tend toward the larger diameter. I don't remember what the inner flange dimensions are off the top of my head (although I should), but I'd bet a 2.5" tube can be transitioned into the right size fairly easily.

Go to www.turbobygarrett to see the ENTIRE lineup of turbos. ATP has some stuff on there, but the COMPLETE line is here: http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/catelog/Turbochargers/turbo_comparison_sheet.htm Most of the maps are on there too. Don't even waste your time with the older T-series stuff. The GT ball bearing cartridges and aero packages blow away the older T-series stuff. Garrett did just come out with ball bearing upgrade CHRAs for the T3/T4 stuff if anyone is interested. It would be a good upgrade for anyone looking for a quicker spooling turbo that don't have the $ for a whole new turbo. If you call any one of their performance distributors (http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/distributor_locator/distributor_locator.html ) they can help you figure out what you have, and what the correct replacement CHRA is. That will make it so you have a ball bearing turbo that is outline interchangable with your current setup!!!
