SC-400 Soarer Steering Rack

Hi,
Possibly someone out there could help me out with a favour.
I need to know the overall length of an SC-400/Soarer Steering rack and also the length of the main body/ mounting points.
Thanks any help greatly appreciated.

Hi Mycarhasposessedme, The rack is exactly 1445mm centre of ball joint to centre of ball joint, and exactly 382mm between mount bolts on subframe, i have both lying around the workshop if you need more info.

Thanks for the help Lambo, dont suppose you have a digital camera lying around there also.
I need a shot of the orientation of the brackets and the steering shaft, also an overall shot of the rack.
Oh and also the subframe mounts.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi Trev, have a look at these can't find the bracket that goes around the rack will post if i can find it.

Can I ask for a favour please, Lambo?
On pic steer 4 can I please have the width between the 4 flat bolt holes.
(accross the body please)

there is a under side pics of a soarer can some one please provide
the dimenions between the the lower control arms bolt on to the chassis rails.
So from rail to rail I need the width at that point.

I am looking into what it would take to fit to front end into a street rod.

Bolt Holes

Hi Cyber600, i take it you mean the 4 bolts that attach the subframe to to body, that is 800mm

yes thanx.
I reckon it is going to be a touch too big but thats not stop us before. Which may mean the that alloy cross member could be only be used as a guide.
Any chance of pic with the A arms in ?
