im still tryin to get an abs ecu to try and solve this changing gears properly

to the rest i have wired up a crown 1uz with auto ecu

the auto ecu uses the abs sensor as the speed signal for when to change gears this signal goes thru the abs ecu then to auto ecu

hopefully soon ill do some tests to see in and out signals

i have an electronic signal that goes to speedo
drives speedo then it goes to autro ecuu to use this signal to change gears

dont know if its just mine but i found this

if the speed signal to ecu is too fast the ecu will retard timing when kickin down and its very noticably


if the speed signal is too slow when changing gears at full throttle
it will hit redline
someitmes it will stay at redline and not change till u back off slightly


so just as a warning

to run the auto properly u might need to run the abs computer too


this is just my findings on my vehicle

as i have not wired up an auto b4

mine is a guinea pig
i hope to do more tests on a front cut soon

but at the moment my auto is bout 90% right

goes hard but sometimes changes are funny


its hard to get speedom,eter readfing accurate and get accurate signal to ecu at same time
unless u run the crown speedo sensor and crown speedometer

its ok i hope to get the abs ecu next week

another prob i have is

my 1uz does bout 330 kms per 50 lts of fuel

thats normal to easy driving
i hardly giver it a hard time

not to sure if thats good but the manual 1uz is know does over 400 kms

my car is a hilux with 3.7 or 3.9 gears

ill run it on dyno soon and see if tis lean

it does sound like it pings sometimes
dont know if thats due to it being in limp mode due to not havin abs speed sensor connected

hope to sort it out soon


but it seems its so much extra tryint o get the auto to work properly in a car that has different diff/speedo/etc signals

anyway one day ill sort it out
