hey guys. I tried asking this on CL, but no luck.

I'm getting components together to supercharge my 1UZ. I plan on running about 9-10psi. So the question is would I need a performance fuel pump and/or fuel pressure regulator?

I here different things. I've had someone tell me that I wouldn't need either. Another told me that all I need is a regulator. Other cars I have seen online running a supercharged 1UZ just have a pump. Still others said it's best to just get both.

Obviously, I don't want to get both if I don't have to.

10Lb is starting to get serious.. Yes IMO a performance fuel pump..
Fuel reg ?? You mean an FMU with say 6 to 1 fuel pressure..
The higher the fuel pressure the harder it is on the fuel pump to supply
enough fuel.. This IS why some said you need both..

It's best to tune with ECU than use these old tech methods..Which
means stand alone ECU, larger injectors etc..
You'll find it'll save engines in the long run...

Stand alone as in FAST, Haltech, Motec, Autronic. Microtech, AMS, Big stuff ETC..

I already have a stand alone Wolf V500 on hand. I plan on getting bigger injectors around 440cc. Would I still need a regulator or pump even after those are installed?

Okay, guys. i just spoke with a supercharger retailer and he recommends a Walbro GSS342. Upon searching I found an alternative 255LPH pump by High Flow Performance. It's supposed to be a little quieter. I decided to go with that.
