Not sure if this will help.. this is what I do for my A341E.
I use an Arduino Standalone TCU which takes care of the trans for auto and tiptronic operation....or without any control over the solenoids.. you can shift gears manually by moving the trans shifter if you don't need 3rd and lockup. (3rd gear and lockup requires the operation of solenoids in the trans)
Without powered solenoids moving the shifter will give you gears accept when in drive you get 4th (OD) and no TC lockup unless you power solenoid 3.
