Hey, I'm not a mechanic at all.
My Soarer has always had a miss around 1600 rpm not a major.
However now it is overheating. I have checked the radiator and shes full. Oil is also fine. For some reason I have no water in my radiator hoses?
I have run the engine till average temp... Still no water in the hoses.
Any Ideas?

Air lock. Take one ofthe heater hoses of and fill you radiator till coolant comes out of both ends of the hoses. You may need to put a funnel etc in the rad to make the water level high at the rad than you heater hoses. See how you go after that. Heatet yap must be on

You need to fill the system from the top center "fill port" to ensure that air does not get trapped. Its the large 17mm nut that sits on top of the coolant bridge, in front of the intake manifold. Like 1uzvl said, fill it up with the engine warmed up and running until coolant is bubbling out. You also might be dealing with a stuck thermostat. Its in the housing directly under the fill port (plastic cover with 2 bolts). Try running the car without the thermostat installed and see if your still overheating.

Also, is it overheating at stop lights or freeway use?
